Felling Evergreens

As I leveled, I found myself in various areas of Kunark (amongst other zones with alts) that were considered good "camps." Camping in an MMORPG is different than an FPS, mostly notably because it involves no sniping, no cheap tactics (most of the time), and is genuinely friendly experience. It involves one or more players in a specific area of a zone, killing specific enemy NPCs over and over, usually splitting up where they spawn based on sightlines or known geographic markers.

There are, of course, examples of things not going so well. I even had my own - albeit rare - encounters of people either coming and stealing specific mobs I was hoping to see, or taking up large areas of NPCs and not abiding to the fairly known rules of engagement.

Regardless, this scene was what unfolded at a place known as the Giant Fort in Warslik's Woods. These two Shadow Knights were knocking down giant after giant, not just for the experience points to level up, but also for the very lucrative items that they might drop. There was something very cool looking, even with the dated graphics, about two lizards toppling these massive creatures, and just sitting on a hillside in between fights.

So, I captured it.
