"Praise Innoruuk"

The community for EverQuest, specifically the Classic Era as emulated by the Project 1999 Project, is active in a select few areas of the internet. There are the official forums, the project 1999 discord server, the TunnelQuest auction bot, Pigparse, Facebook, and the Project 1999 subreddit.

While not the largest online community, it is an incredibly welcoming and friendly one. With, of course, the added caveat of "most of the time." Humans, by nature even in Norrath, cannot escape the occasional pill.

That, however, is not this guy. If not the top, he is close to the top commentator on the subreddit. Always encouraging, always offering incredibly well-written, in-character advice to those in need, and always starting every comment with "Praise Innoruuk."

I had the benefit to get to know him in-game as well, and the commitment to character sticks. The helpfulness, the information, the guidance, as well as the roleplaying remains true through every single interaction.

There is a lot of love for this game, and it doesn't always translate to altruism. I made this piece as a gift. There is a lot of donated/volunteered time and assistance for little to no reward, even today. Nothing he ever did or helped someone with was for an exchange of services or coin. To me, that made him more deserving of a character piece than anyone.

In this piece, you see his Dark Elf Cleric, with a shadowed Innoruuk - a deity of the game - presenting him with a crown from the background.

You do you, king. Praise Innoruuk.
